About

I am currently in my fourth year at UNSW, pursuing a double Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering (Honours) and Commerce, with a major in Finance.

Previously a Software Engineer at UNSW Redback Racing, my current role as the Telemetry Project Lead encompasses managing a team of +7 software engineers across data analytics, cloud ops, streaming, database management, simlations, testing and live telemetry.

Beyond the keyboard,

My interests extend to photography, game design and anything that allows me to express my creativity. When I'm not studying at home, I'll take any opportunity to pick up my camera, snap photos of friends and document my travels.

Projects

A system to manage logged data from the UNSW Redback Racing vehicle utilizing AWS DynamoDB for efficient NoSQL data storage and S3 for large file handling. The frontend is built using Next.js and TypeScript, featuring server-side rendering and a responsive Tailwind CSS design.

Crab Crawler is a 2D pixel art platformer built with Unity and C#, featuring custom graphics created in Aseprite and original music composed using Bosca Ceoil. Crab Crawler showcases a state-based animation system, cross-platform input handling for both keyboard and controller, and a robust save system that works across different deployments. Deployed as a WebGL game in Github Pages, Crab Crawler is directly playable through the browser.

Pixel art indie platformer game

A 15,000+ line rewrite of the spyder telemetry frontend, transitioning from the Material-UI component library to Shadcn/ui. Implemented custom utility functions for keyboard shortcuts, a new notification system, and extensively refactored the codebase for improved readability. This rework significantly enhanced the team's data analysis capabilities with a more intuitive and responsive interface built with Next.js and TypeScript.

Redesign of Redback Racing's Data Acquisition Frontend

Emberscape is a 2D pixel art survival game built using the Godot Engine and C#. It features a dynamic inventory system, interactive gameplay, and custom pixel art assets made in Aseprite. Utilising Godot's signal system for event handling and node-based architecture, Emberscape demonstrates strong adherence to object-oriented programming principles.
